Bringing Gower Home 2 – Exhibition
As part of the Bringing Gower Home project, ASDES participants engaged in a celebratory exhibition of their work with their families and friends. The focus of the exhibition was to facilitate the ‘sharing’ of the experience on Gower with family and friends in a relaxed environment. Noah’s Yard in the Uplands, Swansea kindly allowed us their function room as a great venue to display the work by the participants.
Mel Ezra put together a slideshow of the photos that each participant took in relation to the tasks that she set at CHAPS back in August. Participants related their experiences of the day and how the tasks developed their skills in working with others, especially people that they had not met before.
“It was really good to go somewhere and be able to get on with it and not be labelled”
As part of the celebration ASDES presented the participants with framed images of their own work from the day back in August. Further details of the project and ASDES’ links with Mel Ezra can be found on Mel’s web blog www.melanieezra.com
