ASDES May 2016 Fund Raising Ball
ASDES is holding their 2nd Fund Raising Dinner Ball on Saturday 14th May in the Village Hotel in Swansea to raise much needed funds.
ASDES is a non-for-profit organisation based in Swansea, which was founded in 2010. Our aim is to place people with autism into paid employment and to keep them in work. The chairman and all the trustees give their services for free.
Supporting adults with autism into work transforms their lives and benefits their families.
Here is a testimonial from one of our client’s parent:
“My son Alexander was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in childhood. School was a struggle so leaving education could have been traumatic but luckily, Alexander was put in touch with ASDES who carried out a full assessment and set up two placements. An ASDES Job Coach, with whom he bonded, help build his confidence and social skills. Alexander received counselling too from ASDES and I believe this was a life changing experience, calming him down so much that it has had a really positive effect on the whole family. At Alexander’s request the counselling sessions increased so he functions well in working environments away from home and has joined a social group for adults on with A.S. He now interacts easily with others and is looking forward to paid employment. Alexander and I both feel that his progress is due in no small part to the ASDES team.”
Ensuring that our services are sustainable is always a challenge and given the move towards more community based services we need to raise sufficient funds to continue our services. Referrals to us continue to increase monthly so funds raised will continue to pay for our Job Coaches and Counsellor who work directly with our clients and future clients won’t have to wait for services or even be turned away.
We must do everything possible to continue our support so please consider :
· Attending our Fund Raising Ball (see flyer on this page) – tickets are £40 each; there is a discount for anyone who books a table of 10
· Purchasing raffle tickets (please contact us on the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org)
· Donating a raffle or auction prize
We can only support our community if our community supports us!
Tickets are now available for our May 2016 Ball in Swansea.
